Find out what Matt & Tammy are up to!
In 2018 we moved to Cochrane to be closer to Ghost Lake, a much bigger body of water compared to Glenmore Reservior. You can't tell from these photos but the fall winds on Ghost are quite extraordinary! We invested in wet-suits this year because the lake is much deeper than Glenmore, and being glacier-fed is very cold for much of the year.
These photos are likely from our last sail of 2017 when we experienced actual waves on the reservoir. They weren't exactly ocean-sized swells but really, who cares. It's all relative!
In 2017 we continued to expand our sailing skills upon the Glenmore Reservior. We managed to almost submerge the boat, get ourselves pushed up on the shore and survive a lightning storm with hail (while making our way quickly to shore). There may have been a couple of stressful situations thrown in there, but we had fun and kept at it!
